:: This great old rail freight warehouse in Shockoe Bottom of Richmond, Virginia was old and basically abandoned. ::

:: The tracks that once covered this lot are gone or covered so it can be used as a parking lot now. ::

:: The roof of this old warehouse is what makes this old building great. ::

:: At one time this was in use as trains moved lots of the freight around America when this warehouse was built. ::

:: Above, the large unused warehouse just sitting there, nobody noticing it there. I took the photos above because I liked the roof of this old warehouse. I remember a building a lot like this in Philly. There was a building like this just up the street from my apartment, but it was knocked down years ago. The photos below are why I am glad I took the photos. ::

:: Fire hit this great old warehouse early in the morning on Halloween day before it got light. ::

:: The once great roof is forever gone. ::

:: Now this building is more than just abandoned, it is in ruin. I got the one photo of the roof inside before the fire due to the bum that was living in the place. I talked to the crazy guy & noted his three dogs. I hear he wasn't inside for the fire, but what about the three dogs? I wanted to take more photos but again the cops came & chased me off. I was just glad I was outside the fence when they came. ::
