St. Annes

I wasn't sure whether to post this here or in rural_ruin. They're from Grand Forks, ND, which isn't much of a city, but its not rural either. Anyway...

These are old pictures taken mostly between 1987 and 1990 of a building called St. Annes Guest Home when it was abandoned (except for the first one - i didn't take this one, its from a book and was taken not long after 1913 when it was St. Michael's Hospital). The big building on the right was built in 1907 and the small building in 1913. The two buildings were connected on the basement and main floors. It was remodeled in 1996 and now no longer looks like my pictures :( but at least they didn't tear it down. This has always been my favorite abandoned building...

Sorry the pictures are all different sizes, they were scanned at different times and for different printers.

hi, I'm new; a pleasure to have stumbled here. As for demographics, I am currently situated in Northern California.

This was taken inside a decrepit shack on a pier near Sand City. Any place that has been taken over by seagulls is destined to become a ruin, it seems.

Abandoned boats are everywhere so the sea lions take good advantage of it.
