( Michigan Central Railroad Station, DetroitCollapse )
Built in 1913 by the architectural firm, Warren and Wetmore (who also designed New York City's Grand Central Station,) this building has stood unoccupied since January 6, 1988. Many of the upper floors were never used. Plans to renovate and rehabilitate this building have been spoken of, specifically for the Detroit Police. Costs to do this are estimated at 200 to 300 million dollars.
