i was very excited to find a community based solely on the orgainic beauty that is urban decay. this area is definately one of my favorites to photograph. particularly with black and white film.

these photographs were taken about a year ago. the first is of a door, that seemingly leads to nowhere, hidden in a wall of an alleyway building. the second is of a cemetary statue. the date on the gravestone is 1834.

Louisville, Ky. (x-posted to my journal)

I don't know much about it, but from what I've heard it was the building the man who started the ferrying across the ohio here in louisville (or something, I'm probably wrong) I was hoping there would be a plaque to inform me but alas..no such device. Just the front of a building and it's neighbor are there. They're located right next to the river within spitting distance of downtown.

Broadview Station

I realize that most of the content here focuses on structural decay, however I thought I'd share this photo with you anyway. It's of the old streetcar loop at Broadview, before they rerouted the tracks and set up a temporary platform.
