Cloth Mother

Highgate Cementery, London, UK

I love Highgate Cementery - it's maintained by a private 'Friends of...' society, who do guided walks around it, for a small fee, with an extra charge for a camera permit - they need te money to maintain the paths and prevent the worst of the environmental damage. Fortunately, the stones are mostly left alone, and the whole of the graveyard is beautifully overgrown.

New

Hey, I'm new to this community so if I'm doing anything wrong just let me know and I'll fix it. and excuse my poor gramer/typing, I'm really tired. Anyways my name is Abbie and I'm 13 years old. I just got into this whole abandoned building thing about 6 months ago and have been like obsessed with it ever sence, and this community is awesome. Sorry my pictures are alittle small my up-loading sight was being a bitch. Enjoy!

heres alittle bit about the building- It's a 6 story building that was opened in 1915 and closed in 1965 it has been abandoned ever sence. The layout of the building is very confuesing because it has been built on to many times. The building is very dangerous also there is a very high level of asbestos and led poisoning. This summer the city is going to try to "re-do" the building. What a shame. I hate it.

I think those are orbs. Anyone know anything about that?

Stelco Artefact

Stelco (a Canadian steel company) maintained a large yard in the west end of Toronto (just SW of High Park) for many years. They shipped raw product from the big plants in Hamilton, ON for cutting/local distribution. When the 80s boom died so did the facility. It's all been knocked down for - you guessed it - luxury high rises. Did manage to nab three metal number signs from gates in the fences. Here's one for your perusal - sat it directly on the plate of my scanner. Also have a 3 and a 5 - in my living room.
