Redstart

Savage Arms

This is the first in a series of photos I took at an abandoned factory in Utica NY. It was built in the early 20th century and operated as Savage Arms until the 1950's. UNIVAC then took over and built some of the first computers. After they moved out in 1977, part of the complex saw a short life as a mini-mall. Now, most of it is abandoned save for one section used for office space.

    Bush "Alien"

(no subject)

Three more from Santiago de Querétaro. I went looking through my photos from Querétaro, and couldn't find any that really personified this community (unless old would do it... then pretty much ALL of my photos would be suitable). I have some from the smaller towns, but as they are all rural, they can only go in rural_ruin. So, here are three more. I don't recall seeing anything from Mexico posted here. Mostly Russia and the US. Anyway...

This door I found particularly striking. I think it's all the muted colors, pink, yellow, green, and then some brick color. I loved that door. I wished I could've taken it back home with me (although for me, most of the doorways were really short... I am 6'2".)
