Folkestone Harbour

As I was recently doing some work in Folkestone Harbour, and managed to take a few pictures showing the way that quite a bit of it is falling into dasarray, I thought that I'd share some of them here. Formally one of the main thoroughfares into this country, it now serves only as a truck park and for moving a few bits of cargo. Even the station is no longer used.

The peeling paint on this warehouse door I found particularly pleasing, with no apparent reason for the fact that the higher up paint was in such better condition

The recent attempts to rejuvenate the town has included the installation of a lot of new artworks like this. The contrast between the fresh print and the crumbling, century-old grandeur is particularly striking

Finally some flowers that were growing in the station platform.
